Ms. Fatou Lili Drammeh is the Head of Department Legal and compliance at Trust Bank limited, a position she assumed in October 2011. She is also the company secretary of the Bank and Chairperson Disciplinary Committee since July 2019.

A legal practitioner with nine years post call experience having been called to the prestigious Ghana Bar in 2009 and admitted to the Gambia Bar in 2010. She has served for several years on the Gambian Bench and held various posts within the Judiciary as a Principal Magistrates, Master & Registrar of The High Court. Whilst on the bench she was also appointed adjunct lecturer at the faculty of Law, University of The Gambia.

As the first ever Gambian and female Editor of the Gambia Law Reports, she produced the (2002-2008) 2 Gambia Law Report. She headed the day to day administration of the National Council for Law Reporting. She built on the achievements and successes garnered during her time with the Council for Law Reporting with my subsequent appointment as Jurisprudence Expert Editor under the EU Access to Justice Project Gambia. As the Jurisprudence expert, she was tasked with editing the judgments of the Supreme Court as well as the judgments of the apex Court for Shari’ah Law matters.

As Head of Department Legal & Compliance, she is tasked with advising on relevant rules and applicable standards; prepare and review contracts to be entered into by the Bank; develop and administer systems and procedures to comply with legal regulatory requirements and the Bank’s stated policy and develop and maintain staff training on awareness raising activities with regards to integrity concerns, programs covering legal, regulatory and policy requirements. Fatou has a LLB, LLM, QLC all from Cardiff University. She is a member of the Lincoln’s Inn and Barister of the superior courts of Ghana and The Gambia.
