Trust Bank Limited donated D30,000 to The Gambia Organization for Visually Impaired (GOVI) in a presentation ceremony held at the Trust Bank Head Office in Banjul on Tuesday 28th September 2021.
The Gambia Organization for Visually Impaired (GOVI) is an umbrella organization for disabled people in The Gambia.
Since Its inception, it has undertaken numerous initiatives and activities to help uplift the status of differently disabled people in our societies and has always been promoting and advocating for the right to equal opportunities and participation for those affected in spheres of national development.
The organization is administering a free special school for the blind located in Kanifing and there are 50 blind children attending the school. The school again is providing them with all the teaching and learning materials and as well keeping the environment conducive for teaching and learning in a bid to promote good and quality education.
The presentation ceremony was attended by the chairperson and representatives of GOVI, Mr. Alex Alasan Gomez Head of Marketing and Business Development, Mr. Sheikh Trawally Head of Sales & Public Relations, Mr. Bakai Darboe Banjul Branch manager and other TBL staff.
