The management of Trust Bank Gambia today, December 7, 2023, presented medical and sundry items worth over two hundred thousand dalasis (D200,000.00) to the Kanifing General Hospital as part of the bank’s annual corporate social responsibility program contributions to health care delivery facilities across the country.
Speaking at the event, the deputy managing director of Trust Bank, Omar Mboob, said the choice of donating to a hospital responsible for providing health care services for the sick and vulnerable in one of the most densely populated areas of the country is most appropriate and timely.
“The presentation today does not only include medical supplies but also the love and generosity of the Trust Bank family to the people of Kanifing municipality.” The generosity of the Trust Bank family shows a bank that has embedded a commitment to the creation of shared value at the heart of what binds us together. Our corporate social responsibility program is grounded in the principles of sharing and caring. “At Trust Bank, we firmly believe in doing the right thing not only for our employees and customers but also for our communities,” he said.
He added that their values are aligned with values important to their customers and the communities they serve. Furthermore, they are committed to helping Gambians across the spectrum, most especially in the health care sector.
The CEO of Kanifing General Hospital, Basiru Drammeh, thanked Trust Bank for the kind gesture and assured the gathering that the items presented to the hospital will be put to good use.
The Deputy Board Chair of the Hospital, Naffie Barry, said that Trust Bank cannot go and reach out to every individual member of society, but by donating to the hospital, they will touch the lives of many people.
A representative from the Kanifing Municipal Council, Councilor Karamo Ceesay, also thanked Trust Bank for the valuable donations.
