On Thursday 23rd September 2021Trust Bank ltd donated D50,000 to the National Environment Agency in a colorful ceremony held at the Trust Bank HeadOffice in Banjul.
As the Gambia joins the international community to commemorate the International Coastal Clean-up (ICC) day each year, the National Environment Agency (NEA) in collaboration with partners will commemorate the day on the 25th of September 2021 as they plan to engage in various activities.
The donated sum will go towards supporting the agency in their quest to:
- Remove debris from water bodies including the coastline and beaches
- Collect valuable information about debris and types of waste collected
- Increase public awareness of the effects of litter and debris on the aquatic ecosystem
- Make positive changes and promote waste prevention efforts around the coastal overornament.
Our partnership with the NEA is in this is a clear indication of the strong ties that exist between the two institutions and our CSR support goes to complement government efforts in national development.
The ceremony was attended by NEA’s the Director of Technical Services Networks Mr. Malick Bah, Lamin Koma program Manager Coastal Marine Environment program, Mam Marie Njie, and Mben Jonga respectively. From Trust Bank Ltd were Mr. Alex Alasan Gomez Head of Marketing & Business Development, Amadou O. Jallow Head of Management Information System (MIS), Sheikh Trawally Head of Sale s & Public Relations, and Dawda Ndure of the MIS department.
