Speaking at the Presentation Ceremony on Thursday, Mrs. Njilan Senghore, The Managing Director of Trust Bank, Said, the Donation of the computers is meant to assist the teachers of the school in delivering their curriculum to their students.
“In a world where ICT has made it possible for more people to access, Generate and share ideas and in a world where ICT is playing a greater role in the way that we do business than before, we urgently need to consider how our education system can maximize these new possibilities.
“I must reiterate however that our teachers are traditionally and importantly the primary facilitators of learning. In today’s advancing technological environment, however, we need to work smarter and better to ensure that our teachers have the tools to provide our students with a good quality education that is why this event is so exciting,” she said.
She added that our school curriculum must equip graduates with the right skills for the jobs of tomorrow
“By integrating ICT into the classroom environment, we are working smarter and better – equipping our teachers and advancing the ICT skills of our future generation at the same time. In fulfillment of this objective, it is important to note that over the last couple of years, Trust Bank has donated close to 70 computers to schools across the country,” she added
Mrs. Senghore also advised students of the school to dedicate themselves to their studies to ensure that they have a better future. “You need to dedicate yourselves to your studies to ensure the best for your future. Make good use of the opportunity that Trust Bank is offering you through this donation,”. She concluded.
The principal of the Anglican mission, Mr. Sait Saine thanked Trust Bank for the kind gesture they rendered to the school and promised that these computers will be maximally used to equip students the right technological skills.. The Regional Director of Education in region three, Lamin F.M Jaiteh, also thanked Trust Bank for the gesture and advised the students to put the computers to good use.
The presentation was graced by teachers’ parents and students of the school and also the managing Director of the bank and staff of Trust Bank.
